Editors’ Responsibilities


The Editors of Samshodh: International Multidisciplinary Research Journal (SIMRJ) are responsible for maintaining academic integrity, transparency, and quality in the publication process. Editorial decisions are made independently and are guided solely by scholarly merit, originality, clarity, and relevance to the journal’s scope.

Editorial Decision Making

  • Ensure that all submitted manuscripts undergo a fair and unbiased double blind peer review process.
  • Evaluate submissions based on academic quality, originality, methodological soundness, and contribution to knowledge.
  • Make decisions to accept, request revision, or reject manuscripts without discrimination.
  • Ensure that editorial decisions are not influenced by commercial or personal interests.

Confidentiality

  • Maintain strict confidentiality of submitted manuscripts.
  • Do not disclose information about a manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, or publisher as appropriate.
  • Protect the identity of reviewers in the double blind review process.

Integrity and Ethical Oversight

  • Ensure that all submissions are screened for plagiarism using reliable detection software.
  • Take appropriate action in cases of suspected research misconduct, including plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, or duplicate publication.
  • Issue corrections, clarifications, expressions of concern, or retractions when necessary.
  • Follow established ethical guidelines in handling complaints and disputes.

Conflict of Interest

  • Recuse themselves from handling manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest.
  • Avoid involvement in decisions related to manuscripts submitted by colleagues, collaborators, or students.
  • Ensure transparency in all editorial procedures.

Reviewer Management

  • Select qualified and subject relevant reviewers.
  • Ensure that reviewers provide objective and constructive feedback.
  • Monitor timeliness of the review process.
  • Address reviewer misconduct or bias when identified.

Transparency and Accountability

  • Maintain clear communication with authors regarding editorial decisions.
  • Provide reasoned explanations for manuscript decisions when required.
  • Uphold transparency in editorial policies and procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement of journal quality and academic standards.

Editors are expected to act with fairness, integrity, and professionalism at all times to preserve the credibility and reputation of the journal.
