Publication Ethics


Samshodh: International Multidisciplinary Research Journal (SIMRJ) is committed to maintaining high standards of academic integrity and ethical publishing practices. The journal follows internationally accepted ethical guidelines to ensure transparency, fairness, and scholarly responsibility.

Duties of Authors

  • Original Work: Authors must submit original research that has not been published or submitted elsewhere.
  • Plagiarism: All manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts exceeding the permitted similarity limit will be rejected.
  • Authorship: Only individuals who have made significant scholarly contributions should be listed as authors.
  • Data Accuracy: Authors must ensure that data is accurate and must not fabricate, falsify, or manipulate results.
  • Conflict of Interest: Authors must disclose any financial or personal relationships that may influence the research.
  • Ethical Approval: Research involving human participants or animals must receive prior approval from a recognized ethics committee.

Duties of Reviewers

  • Maintain confidentiality of the manuscript.
  • Provide objective and constructive feedback.
  • Complete reviews within the agreed time frame.
  • Disclose conflicts of interest and decline review if necessary.
  • Report suspected ethical issues to the editor.

Duties of Editors

  • Ensure a fair and unbiased double blind peer review process.
  • Make decisions based on academic merit and relevance.
  • Maintain confidentiality of submitted manuscripts.
  • Address complaints and ethical concerns promptly.

Misconduct and Retraction

Research misconduct includes plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, falsification, citation manipulation, and unethical research practices. If misconduct is identified before publication, the manuscript will be rejected. If discovered after publication, the journal will issue corrections, expressions of concern, or retraction notices as appropriate.

Retracted articles will remain accessible for the scholarly record but will be clearly marked as retracted. Serious ethical violations may result in notification to the authors’ affiliated institutions and restriction from future submissions.
